Simple Love Songs =/= Cheesius Maximus

So I been listening to alot of love songs lately. Especially 'Two Is Better Than One'. I love how the melodies come together, and everything about the song is just... right. :)

Isn't that what like/love/*insert-your-own-term-here* supposed to be though? Everything being just right, with that one person?

I woke up this morning and missed someone. But now... I feel free.

Free to analyse whatever-the-hell music I have.
Free to pursue writing.
Free enough for my classical training in piano to finally kick in after years of oppression.
(It's so not a good time though.)
Free enough to actually finish my homework on the day it's given. (Shock and horror! Yes I know.)

And as cliched as this may be...

Free to discover who I am. :)

I 've had my good times, my bad times, and my ups and downs. But right now, I'm learning to take everything as it comes to me in stride. It's a somewhat weird feeling, of me being free, but I LOVE it. :)

PS. I go rock-climbing nearly every Saturday now! Have been for the past two, anyone interested in joining me? (Get your own belaying partner though.) :D

YOUTH'10 Festival

No time to write up on what happened (exams in a week, HALPZ) but here's a video of Kenneth, IMran, Kar Reid and Azri playing as "K.I.T.A." at the YOUTH'10 Festival. They're awesome, 'nuff said. :D

Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! 8D

Lyric Post

"Do you dream at night
Dream of 'What if I's?
Do you play love songs
Just to sing along?
Does your heart beat faster
When I'm there?
Do you think of me?
Do you even care?"

Just a little drabble. (c) to me, STEAL AND DIE. >:D

Oh, and comments too plzz. :)

Random Wordspit.

"I've been watching
Looking and waiting
For a story to happen
For a song to start playing"

(The start of a so-called song that WH wanted to start yesterday in the library but failed. XD)

I need to start bringing my camera to school and to take more pictures of my college friends. My blog seems so... BLAND from the lack of pictures. .___.

Currently in bed with the lappie and with the lights off. Rain's pouring outside my window and it's such a perfect time to sleep. :)

Btw, need some advice. How do you know if you've fallen for a person or if a person has fallen for another person?

What I Want, Will I Get?

Just a little something I wrote like, eons ago. But it still reminds of how serious physical attraction feels. :)

The chemistry was always there
Lacking only sparks that flare
When I walked right past you
Could you feel it too?

Looking around for stolen glances
Not getting anymore answers
Stop teasing me and looking my way
Don't you know it leaves me with nothing to say?

PS. Let me know what you think :D

What I Was, What I Am, What I Will Be

This is the place where I sit
This is the part where
I love you too much
Is this as hard as it gets?
'Cause I'm getting tired
Of pretending I'm tough
I'm here if you want me
I'm yours, you can hold me
I'm empty and aching and
Tumbling and breakin'
'Cause you don't see me
And you don't need me
And you don't love me
The way I wish you would
The way I know you could

I dream of worlds
Where you'd understand
And I dream a
Million sleepless nights
I dream of fire when
You're touching my hand
But it twists into smoke
When I turn on the light
I'm speechless and faded
It's too complicated
Is this how the book ends,
Nothing but good friends?

'Cause you don't see me
And you don't need me
And you don't love me
The way I wish you would

This is the place in my heart
This is the place where
I'm falling apart
Isn't this just where we met?
And is this the last chance
That I'll ever get?
I wish I was lonely
Instead of just only
Crystal and see-through
And not enough to you

'Cause you don't see me
And you don't need me
And you don't love me
The way I wish you would

'Cause you don't see me
And you don't need me
And you don't love me
The way I wish you would
The way I know you could

PS. A cookie if you can actually guess what song this is WITHOUT GOOGLING IT. :D

Crushes, Dreams, And Hopeless Fantasies

Gosh, where do I even begin. Anywhere? The beginning? The end? The one part of my life where dreams were my world?

As most of my girlfriends know, I've never dated. Ever.

Never kissed or Frenched.
Never hugged by a boy I liked.
Never even been to first base.

When I put it that way, WOW, I sound totally pathetic.

But guess where all that... ahem, "energy" went to?

A cookie if you guessed "Fangirling!".

And yes, that's why for a major part of my high school life I was obsessed with bands. McFly, Tokio Hotel, DBSK, Super Junior, 2PM, you name it.

Spazzing over them made me feel like I don't need a boyfriend. Why waste time and money when the Internet's right in front of you? The fanfictions, the (obviously fake) ghei rumuors, that was all an excitement, a cheap thrill for me, if you will. The fantasies of what you'd do with them if you finally meet them. (Hehehe, try guessing what. XD)

But it was fun while it lasted.

Yes, if you see me now, it seems like I'm still a fangirl. Going on allkpop for news, STILL reading fanfictions, buying albums, splurging on concert tickets. (SUJU CONCERT YAY :D)

But now, it's merely a hobby. Not an obsession.

I have to admit I do have a weird fascination for Korean culture and its people. But that doesn't mean I immediately fall in love with every Korean boy I see.

(Wth people, I'm not that shallow, ok?!)

I haven't openly admitted this. I may have substituted the word for, I don't know, "dates", "to be kissed", "to get third-base laid".

Point is, I'm saying it out now.

I want a boyfriend. Not need (that's called being despo), but want.

OK, so I sound pretty shallow about now.

"Yerr, where got girl so open say one boyfriend one? Must be a lola* wan, that's why don't have before lah."

(*LOLA = Lack Of Love and Attention)

But think of it this way. I've never had the experience of a first love before.

Never experienced a hug from someone, his heat, his warmth, seemingly warming you up to the core as well, making you feel safe, safer than anywhere else in the world.

Never experienced holding hands, the shy touch of hands... before slipping into the crooks between your fingers, the grasp firm, not wanting to let you go.

Never experienced the sheer joy when the first thing you wake up to in the morning is a message from him.

Never been kissed, never been so taken aback as his lips touch yours slowly, hesitantly, then pressing harder and you feel like everything in this world is just right.

Never experienced hearing his voice from behind and just as you turn, all you can see is him and suddenly, your bad day doesn't seem so bad after all. In fact, it's perfect.

Read through this post again. And again. Do you know what I'm talking about?

(Oh, and it applies to boys as well. Just replace the 'he' with a 'she'.)

One day, hopefully sooner than later. I'd like to experience all that.

PS. If you're wondering where I get my... physical (and romantic) advice from, try reading fanfictions. Muahaha.
PPS. Nah, Sab, I finally wrote a "personal" post, lemme know what you think.
PPPS. Unless you're a girl (or Kenn, he has special privileges), do NOT mention this blog post to my face. Kthxbai.
PPPPS. And as if you couldn't tell by my writing, yes, I am a romantic at heart. ;)

Second Week Of College

So, another week of college has gone and passed. Eventful? Uneventful? I'm not quite sure myself.

Nothing much has changed, except that the classes I'm in are starting to get closer in terms of friendship. Which explains the sudden 'College List' I have up on FB and the mass adding of friends. :D

Classes are starting to have crazy workloads. @.@

Especially Maths. OMG MATHS =Bane of my existence.

BUT.

I refuse to drop the darned subject. NYAH. >:D

The amount of homework piles up EVERY DAY, but hey, if I can get through SPM, the second hardest high school examination in the WORLD, pssh, A-Levels are peanuts.

(Someone please remind me of this post when I start whining about how hard my life is later on, kthxbai.)

Unlike Sabrina, I don't take pics in school, because.... there's basically no time at all! It's wait outside of class (cos the class is freezing, as always), get into class, lessons, lunch, and lessons again. And repeat for the next day and the next day and the next.

But Friday's my classes' half-day, so we have the opportunity to go out and have a looooong lunch. We're even thinking of driving out to Desa Sri Hartamas for Korean food next week! :DDD

HOWEVER. (From here on in it's going to be the what-happened-today post, fyi.)

We had some teamwork building workshop for our Lit. in English class, AND we had to finish Mr. Gan's homework, so that meant doing econs and eating lunch at the same time. =.=''

The workshop was LMFAO funny. One part of the workshop was charades, and this is one of the snippets of it:

"Why you join the Lit class?"
"... 'Cause Ms. Anne is hot!"
*Cue racuos laughter*
"But you not lesbian right? That's why you go Psychology class got Mr. Kumar mah!"

XDDD

OH. OH. OH. AND. :D

I've mentioned this on FB, but there has been a guy (and some others as well) that have been catching my eye, if you get what I mean. ;D But how to introduce if he's a senior? D:

Ahem. Moving on.

Today's ECA Drive thing was AWESOME, btw. As the workshop thingy only finished at 3.30pm, the lot of us went down late.

AND WITNESSED A REAL FLASH MOB. O.O

Actually it's a dance flash mob prepared by the Dance club members, but they were AWESOME. And yes, it is as in possum. :)

At the end of the day, I signed up for 4 clubs, which are Dance, Music, Psychology, and...

Wait for it...

...

...

...

KOREAN! :DDDDD

Hahaha, bet you coulda seen that coming from afar. XDDD

All in all, I've met alot of new friends, and hope to get to know them better. :)

In fact, I'm kinda sad that college's only 5 days a week.

TT_TT

But then I remember the workload we have and...

Yeah I like my weekends better. XD

Review : New Moon

Ah yes. The mayhem of the Twilight Saga is back, with the recent release of the second movie, New Moon.

I would go on about the story, but, c'mon. 99% of us Form 5's have read the darn book, heck, even the entire series. Why should I waste my time going over the plot when we already know what's happened?

Instead, I'll be reviewing the performance of the main actors/actresses, a.k.a. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. And maybe throw in some plot points as well, mehh.

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen

Frankly, I've never been able to completely connect RPatz as Edward. I mean, Edward's supposed to be like, perfect. And Rob is... well I just don't like his teeth. And hair. (Wash it sometime, yeah?) But anyways.

I absolutely despise the characterisation of Edward in the movie, because, well, he doesn't really DO anything. Yeah, it's Jacob's time to shine, but seriously? Edward's role in this movie =WRONGWRONGWRONG. Just... NO.

I don't really have anything against the actor himself, but they should've got another actor to play Edward. But as Ally said, "Who else can you imagine as Edward?"

Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan

First off, I think Kristen's kinda cute. In her own 'aw-shucks-shy-girl' personality. And I think she can act. I'm not sure, I've not watched her other movies, but she has gotten rave reviews, so...

But still. I do not like Bella in this. The whole movie, for her, is basically in this sequence:

Happy, crushed, sad, sad, depressed, adrenaline rush, stupid actions, fright, confusion, angst...

You get the idea. And she doesn't really DO anything, except maybe hang out with Jacob, laughs abit, nearly kisses him TWICE...

So yeah. Bella in New Moon = kinda annoying.

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black

One thing's for sure : Taylor can ACT. As in real honest acting. Sure he's hot, but I noticed that he really embodies himself in his character. The way he asks Bella to "go away", you could practically see that he was spitting out the words, albeit reluctantly. He is awesome as Jacob, 'nuff said. And did I mention those chocolate abs? 8D

Wouldn't I love to be Bella in this... ^
His gaze could practically melt you.

So besides the acting, the cinematography was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I LOVED how the director managed to convey how Bella was when she was depressed, during those blank October, November and December months by slowly panning the camera around her. Wicked.

The special effects were mind-numbingly real. I could feel the vibrations in my seat when the wolves were chasing after Victoria through the forest.

Not to mention, the selection of tracks for the soundtrack. Anya Marina's 'Satellite Heart' is poignant, and her voice just matches the entire theme of the movie. Lykke Li's 'Possibility' is hauntingly beautiful, which matches the 'blank months' of Bella perfectly.

So, basically, watch the movie if you're a girl, or is interested in directing, or just want to check out the amazing soundtrack.

PS. The movie has also led to my new celebrity obsession : Taylor Lautner. Beware, you were warned.

HOTHOTHOT 8DDD

My Uncle Is So Awesome He Deserves This Blog Post.

So, in reference to the title above, my uncle recently went to Korea. KOREA. For a holiday. Unfortunately for me, I had SPM. :(

However, the good thing is I got to 'tumpang shopping' on him. Muahahaha.

The most awesome thing is, all the things I asked for, he managed to buy for me!

*Sniffs* He's officially my number one uncle now. XD

Anywho, I decided to post this here because,

A. I'm a dork about Korean stuff.
B. I'm a fangirl.

'Nuff said.

Two 2PM albums, and GD's Heartbreaker album. I'm impressed.

Tablo's book, CeCi mag, ELLE Korea, and Junior magazine.

Check out the thickness of themagazines. I swear, 1 can actually be 1kg or more. They're that heavy. @.@

Oh, and turns out all the English versions of Tablo's book "Pieces of You" are sold out in Korea, so they only have the Korean editions left. Another good excuse to learn Korean! (As if the obsessions with its culture wasn't enough XD)

But this was kinda sad... And ruins the illusion that Korea is really that perfect.

An ad for plastic surgery. WTF.

Oh, oh and something extra. :D

He brought back 20 packets of Shin Ramyun for us too. Madness I tell you.

New Moon review coming up next! :D

Holidays Are Here Again....

The holidays are here, which means prom dress shopping! Hahaha

There has been absolutely NOTHING going in on my life, so excuse the maybe random outbursts that may occur.

Attending a wedding dinner tonight, where I'll meet old acquaintances. Hmm.

The stupid 2PM issue has not been resolved, so I have decided to distance myself away from K Pop for the moment. Which means no spazzing. Boo :(

G-Dragon from Big Bang has this ultrasuperamazingly cute puppy! *squee*

And since I'm distancing myself away from K Pop, there's nothing much I can do except stalk the 'uhljjang' thread at Soompi.

SO DER MANY MANY PRETTY BOYS AND GIRLS. *jealous*

'Uhl' is face in Korean, and 'jjang' means best, so basically these people have 'best faces'.

The things they have in comon?

1. All of them have practically flawless, pale, fair skin. Even the boys.
2. All of them are inhumanly baeuiful. Yes beautiful, not just pretty.
3. All of them have fashion sense. And no, it's not lala fashion.

I don't really care about the girls, but the boys there are drool-worthy. Like, seriously.

So maybe half of them may had plastic surgery. Pshh. As if I care. What I care about is that they're pretty eye-candy for the moment.

On a closing note, Haeundae the movie made me cry.

And it's a film about a killer tsunami in Korea, dammit.

But it still made me cry. TT___TT (MinKi-ah~)

FUCK NO WAY IT'S HAPPENING

Remember when I told you guys about how I fell in love with yet another boyband? They're 2PM, and they're the best thing to happen to me so far this year.

Last Saturday, a scandal concerning the leader, Jay Park blew up way out of proportion. Apparently he made derogatory remarks about Korea 4 years ago, and netizens were bashing him up online.

He manned up and took responsibility, saying everything was his fault and apologaized. But the netizens weren't happy. They made his boss cancel all of 2PM's activities, and they asked him to 'leave it or love it', but they didn't give him the latter option. They wanted him out of the band.

They even created a peition for him to commit suicide! Apeshit crazy.

And just now at 4.15pm, I got a tip from my friend. And it says :

On the official 2PM fancafe, leader Jaebeom announced that he will be officially quitting 2PM. JYPE has just confirmed this is true.

This decision was made after his recent Myspace controversy was blown out of proportion. Jaebeom will be leaving Korea today at 6:30pm KST.

Jaebeom posted:

"Hello, I'm 2PM's Jaebeom.

I'm sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter.
I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart.

I'm really sorry to everyone, and I'm even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.

2PM boys, I'm really sorry to the boys and I'm sorry I couldn't be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.

Again, I'm sorry.

Jaebeom"

A New Update, FINALLY.

I'M BAAAAACCCCKKK PEOPLE! MISS ME?

Haha, corny lines aside, after receiving much complaints from various people *coughjasonhonyukellycough*, and having the entire weekend to myself, I've decided to be nice and treat you people to my experience, at the

MTV WORLD STAGE LIVE IN MALAYSIA!

And no, I'm not shoving it in your face, I'm just posting my account of it. If you wanted to go so badly you would've tried to get tix. So there.

Anyways.

On the 15th of August, 2009, I experienced the most awsome night of the year. A chance to be in the moshpit, with another few hundred screaming fans, watching world-class acts play live? No one would pass that up. Ever.

My guy friend (I'm not sure wether he wants his name to be mentioned, and I don't feel like letting him get any more attention, therefore he shall be known as 'the dude') picked me up from my house, and in return, I treated him to a movie. G.I. Joe baybay.

Can't comment much on the acting, but like Transformers 2, you watch it just for fun, not to critique it.

After that, went to line up for my mosh pit tix, which I got by e-mail (thank you, thank you, MTV, for inviting me). Took a bloody long time lor, but I saw some ex-seniors from BU3 there as well. That was interesting, since I haven't seen them in years.

Halfway through it started drizzling, so the kind MTV people on the job gave everyone 'MTV Wet Weather Gear'. How nice of them. :) (In the end, I didn't use it anyway. Neither did anyone from the few hundred moshers)

After getting my tix, made my way to the pit. Met another friend there. And together, we complained about how hot it was and why weren't any of the bands playing yet. :D

Finally, around 6++pm, Estranged started playing. Sad to say that we, the audience wasn't that interested. But there were groups of people headbanging to the 4 songs that were played. (I wanted them to play 'Itu Kamu'. They didn't)

After that, was BOYS LIKE GIRLS! Prior to this gig, I had no idea what they looked like, I swear. And now I know why so many girls fell, fall, and are falling for them.

(Excuse the next fan-girly-ish comment)

OMG THE LEAD SINGER IS SO SO SO GORGEOUS!!! BIG BABY BLUE EYES AND BLONDE HAIR AND HE'S FIT AS HELL :DDDDDD

Uhm. Getting on.

They played Love Drunk, Hero/Heroine, Thunder and The Great Escape. The best part was during the last 2 songs. EVERYONE sang along.

You know the feeling, where you feel so at ease and excited and happy when everyone is singing along to the same song? Yeah that feeling. I loved it. :D

AND AND AND. The lead singer actually climbed up the scaffolding on the right side of the stage during The Great Escape. Madness, I tell ya.

After them was Raygun. Now I'm sure when the MC announced that the next band were them, many of us thought: 'Eh, dunno what ciplak Malaysian band only lerr.'

So imagined our surprise when and English band came out. And I've got to say, they have the FINEST lead singer and bassist, EVER. The bassist was so fit, and blonde, and the lead singer was wiiillld.

And because MTV kept replaying their song, 'Just Because' before they came on, when Raygun started with that song, everyone just sang along. (Hey, that rhymed!) Unfortunately, they only played 4 songs. I know I wanted more than that.

Following was Pixie Lott. The first thing that came into my mind when she came on stage was:

Malaysia so blardy hot still can wear a long dress with long sleeves!?

BUT. SHE WAS AWESOME. Maybe some of you don't get it, but I happen to like female performers who can actually, y'know, SING. Like properly. But she only came on for 3 songs. Mighty super catchy ones too. :)

Hoobastank was next. 2 songs from their latest album, followed by Crawling In The Dark. THEN.

*"Doug" 'Audience'

"So, Malaysia, can you really sing?"
'YEAH!'
"Really?"
'YEAAAH!'
"Let's see you sing to this one.'

They started to play the 'Ghostbusters' theme song.

NOW ISN'T THAT THE MOST AWESOME AND RANDOM PART YOU'VE EVER HEARD OF BEFORE?!?!?

Hoobastank rocked. And that easy-excited feeling came back on full-force when they started playing The Reason.

*Sigh* I love singalongs. *smiles*

THEN THEN THEN

DUN DUN DUN DUN....

THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS! :DDDDDD

Tyson Ritter is mad sick man. He came out in a neon green tank top with BOTH his arms covered in PURPLE GLITTER. The guy rocks off all our socks.

They started off with 'Dirty Little Secret', which was WILLD. At that point I was RIGHT at the front, so seeing them up close like that, and headbanging and moshing to one of the world's most well known song...

People, y'all should've SERIOUSLY tried to go. Screw H1N1 lah. Damn worth it. (And I'm not sick yet.)

I'm getting sick of listing out the songs, but they played, in total, 7 songs, the longest set of the night.

ANDANDAND

When they played It Ends Tonight, I got that feeling yet again. (I LOVE CONCERTS LIKE THESE :D)

ANDANDAND

When they played their last song Gives You Hell,

TYSON CLIMBED ONTO THE SCAFFOLDING ON THE LEFT SIDE.

Mad crazy awesome lah basically.

At that point, dying of thirst, so had no choice but to ditch Kasabian (I'm sorry, I'm sure you guys were awesome as well T.T)

And uhm, for some reasons, I can't exactly tell you what happened next, but let's just say I got to see 2AM perform.

No pix, of the whole thing, cause camera's weren't allowed, and I didn't want my phone to go SPLAT on the mosh pit floor due to the moshing.

:D

In conclusion,

MTV WORLD STAGE ROCKED. HELL YEAH.

PLEASE COME BACK NEXT YEAR.

^^

Not AGAIN!

So, the hols have started. I've been going crazy, shopping, going out with friends, and spazzing over boybands. REALLY really spazzing.

Since I'm not that good at 'what-I-did-today' posts, basically:

Thursday went to One Utama.
Friday went to The Curve.
Saturday, Curve again after dance class.
Sunday, Curve AGAIN.
Monday, Taylor's College Life In One Day program. ('Twas fun ;D)
Tuesday, BM tuition and Abby's b'day party.
Lazing at home on Thursday and Friday (e.g. today)

Anyways, the above shows that I just used up my quota of 'going out with friends'. Not because I don't want to, but because I can't. Mehh.

And in reference to my posts' title,

I FELL IN LOVE WITH YET ANOTHER KPOP BOYBAND. AGAIN.

This is not good. People who know me KNOW that when I spazz over a boyband, it means that you're supposed to run for the hills. Literally.

THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING.

WAIIII OH WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

I blame my stupid weak self-discipline and my taste for hot pretty Korean boys.

I was just innocently using YouTube when JYP decided to launch a nuclear atomic fangirl-satisfying bomb on me.

People, say hello to my new favourite band of the moment, 2PM. XDDD

Now, before you say anything else, here's something to chew on:

They can sing and dance. At the same time.
They are awesome b-boys and dancers.
They're hot. (Hello, chocolate abs! Choi Siwon who?)
Their average height is 180cm.

If I haven't convinced you, go check out their Idol Army episodes.

2PM Idol Army playlist (YouTube)

WARNING : Strictly NOT for homophobes.

Anyone with prior experience to Eastern boybands should know this ONE important fact:

Skinship is a must.

And with that, I am now leaving to drool over more 2PM videos. ;D

Edit : OMO I JUST READ THAT WONDER GIRLS ARE GOING TO BE TOURING WITH JONAS BROTHERS.

THE AUDACITY! NOOOOO......!

Music Updates!

So, after being away from the computer for around two weeks (K Pop deprivation sucks the life out of me), I come back online and find that SuJu released a new single, off a new repackaged album, called "It's You".

(FYI, Super Junior is a 13 member boyband from South Korea. They sing and dance, and are probably the funniest people ever. But more on them later.)

AND DO THEY LOOK FINE. ;DDD

I'll just let the video do the talking.

Super Junior - It's You

Oh, and other than that, I found out the Wheesung, another K Pop singer, has covered Craig David's "Insomnia"! And it's SO addictive. ;P

Wheesung - Insomnia

And for those who have'nt checked out SNSD's "GEE" song, do check it out. It'll get stuck in your head for weeks. (It did for me.)

SNSD - GEE (White Dance Ver.)

Lastly, I found this song on YouTube, by Park Jin Yoon. K Pop fans know her as the girl who recorded the song "Adult Ceremony", but her newest single is, quite plainly, lovely.

Still Procrastinating...

Darn it, I can't seem to concentrate on my studies! Oh well.

On the other hand, I've got a song to recommend... It's a very sad song, with him saying how he's in pain from loving. Or something like that. Anyhoo, enjoy! ;D

EDIT : Found an english subbed one!
